In the centre, the iconic Sky Tower has views of Viaduct Harbour, which is full of super-yachts and lined with bars and cafes. Auckland Domain, the city’s oldest park, is based around an extinct volcano and home to the formal Wintergardens. Near Downtown, Mission Bay Beach has a seaside promenade great for wandering on a sunny day.

The average high temperature settles at 20°C (68°F)while overnight the temperature can drop much lower, and the average low temperature dips to 13°C (55°F)April is the usually the last month of outdoor dining and seaside cafes open in Auckland.
